JOB DESCRIPTION- Information Technology Manager
SUPERVISES ? Information Technology Helpdesk, both Corporate and remote offices.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK ? This position provides strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation and coordination of the information and technology systems for the Trilliant Inc. This position is designed to insure the continuous delivery and operation of integrated operational and administrative information systems. The position manages multiple information and communications systems and projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
?Conducts self in an appropriate manner as a representative of Trilliant Inc. while working effectively in a diverse work environment.
?Conducts enterprise-wide information technology planning. Consults with the Management and senior management to identify and prioritize the information technology needs of the business. Develops, coordinates, guides and maintains IT systems strategic and operational plans in support of the overall business and technology goals.
?Provides advice and leadership on evaluation, selection, implementation and maintenance of information systems, ensuring appropriate investment in strategic and operational systems.
?Communicates IT plans, policies and technology trends throughout the organization. Promotes and oversees relationships between the Trilliant?s IT resources and external entities (e.g., customers, partners, external team members and consultants).
?Maintains a knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technologies equipment and systems. Keeps current on issues, practices and procedures in technical areas.
?Plans, leads, organizes and controls all projects related to selection, acquisition, development and installation of major information systems for the Trilliant organization.
?Develops and maintains enterprise IT policies and procedures to ensure the protection of enterprise IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the District.
?Develops and maintains an enterprise-wide business recovery plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of IT services in the event of a disaster.
?Conducts human resource management of all IT employees including interviewing, hiring, and performance management.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
?Bachelor?s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Processing, Networking or equivalent.
?Extensive and broad based experience in computer operations, networking, telecommunications, information technology management/administration, applications and system development within a substantial Information Technology environment, document control, radio/cad/avl management, and enterprise resource planning.
?Knowledge of current enterprise server hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and development tools, security systems, data center and distributed operations.
?Knowledge of computer operations, networking and telecommunications
?Knowledge of Information Technology management and administration
?Knowledge of server and PC applications including word processing, spreadsheets, data base, presentation software, and document control.
?Knowledge of IT virtual technologies and other IT ?Green? technologies.
?Familiarity with information processing requirements of transportation systems and transit industry.
?Excellent oral and written communication skills; includes oral presentations.
?Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel; Board members, senior management, users, vendors and outside sub-contractor personnel.
?Strong judgment and problem solving skills; includes logical decision making.
?Demonstrated planning and development skills; includes multi-million dollar budget administration and project implementation.

?3-5 years VMware experience in a High Availability environment with Disaster Recovery.
?5-8 Years Linux (redhat) Administration
?Oracle Enterprise and Standard OS setup and troubleshooting
?5-8 years Windows administration
?SAN Administration (EMC, Equalogic)
?Cisco ASA ? VPN tunnels setup and management, Firewall Administration
?Cisco Switch Administration ? VLAN?s
?CCNA required
?VCP preferred
