To accelerate growth, we are looking for an outstanding engineer to join our IT Operations team to build the next phase in New Relic's enterprise corporate infrastructure. If you have proven experience of leading Infrastructure project activities as well as providing technology direction and want to join a company where you can do your best work - we have the job for you!
This role will participate in overall IT planning and develop infrastructure strategies bringing current knowledge and future vision of technology. You will work with key stakeholders across the organization to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective solutions.
You could be right person for us if you have:
--6+ years experience working in a fast paced organization with strong demands on the IT infrastructure
--Expert knowledge and experience of working with enterprise scale technologies
--A Unix/Linux system architecture guru
--Expert knowledge of LDAP administration in multisite environments
--Strong knowledge of storage technologies and trends
--Expertise in virtualization of servers in multisite environments using VMware
--Proven communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
--Ability to develop documentation, processes, and procedures
--Experience with Juniper or Cisco security and switching equipment
--Relevant Bachelor's Degree
Some of the things you'll be doing:
--Providing overall direction and definition of the enterprise's technical architecture to effectively support the company's strategies
--Responsibility for researching, analyzing, designing, proposing, and delivering solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies
--Enhancing and resolving performance issues associated with the enterprise infrastructure
--Ensuring architecture is in compliance with all IT Controls related to area of responsibilities (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley, Business Software Alliance, Privacy Acts, HIPPA, etc.)
--Incorporating current trends and products into the architectures
