Undergraduate degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
Lab/Research experience and aptitude (academic labs are acceptable)
Ability to rapidly learn and immediately re-apply diverse new technical concepts
Ability to work well in dynamic multi-task team environment
Self-motivated and organized with demonstrated problem solving and initiative
US citizenship is required due to the nature of certain customer programs
Additionally, the following will be favorably considered:
Study or practice of polymer, thin-film, or nanoparticle behavior and chemistry
Basic understanding of traditional print methods: inkjet, screen, flexo, and gravure
Strong mechanical aptitude
Readiness and ability for up to 15% travel in the US, Europe, and Asia
Summary of Anticipated Responsibilities
Conduct laboratory assessments of both internally developed and externally provided functional electronic ink and material systems using NovaCentrix PulseForge processing tools.
Design and construct pilot ink production and printing lines.
Develop and maintain written work procedures.
Use a variety of print methods to produce depositions of functional electronic ink fluids.
Characterize rheology of solids in liquid-based systems.
Characterize of dispersion of particles and nanoparticles in solvent systems .
Assess the relationship of surface energy, cohesion, and adhesion on material systems.
Use proprietary numerical simulation code to model the thermal response of material systems.
Perform statistical analysis on functional ink material system performance.
Produce and maintain inventory of commercial inks.
Maintain detailed personal laboratory notebooks.
Write project summaries for customer programs.
Work directly with customers at the NovaCentrix facility as well as possibly at trade shows or at customer facilities.
Work effectively with technical and non-technical members of the NovaCentrix team.
