Inside Account Manager Proofpoint

We are seeking candidates to become part of the Proofpoint Major Accounts enterprise sales team. The candidate will focus on approximately 18 large accounts in Georgia and Florida. Looking for an experienced sales professional with a proven track record selling 7-figure deals to large commercial major accounts. Key responsibilities include expanding Proofpoint's penetration of large existing customers, securing large renewals with the existing customer base, identifying, developing, and closing new business across a group of additional named new accounts. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to articulate and present Proofpoint's value proposition across the entire product line. Handle entire sales cycle from opportunity management to booking. Participate and assist in marketing initiatives to generate demand and increase awareness. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date forecast.
Responsibilities
?Identify and convert add-on opportunities into sales, work with regional account team to close
?Visit customers to assess customer satisfaction
?Proactively identify customer issues, work with the larger Proofpoint team to resolve them
?Conduct Proofpoint Strategic Briefings to named customers
?Research customer organizational structure and track information within Salesforce.com
?Gather and track information regarding named customers? competitive products, funded projects and initiatives
?Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Proofpoint?s competitive positioning in the marketplace
?Develop customer quotes, manage customer data within Salesforce.com
?Work with Marketing to understand customer trends, develop and modify programs and pricing accordingly
?Meet or exceed customer revenue quota
Requirements:
?Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint?s value
?Must be organized, detail and process oriented
?Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
?Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in resolving difficult issues
?Ability to coordinate Proofpoint resources to execute a complex sales strategy
?Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web conferencing tools
?Ability to use Salesforce.com and other on-line tools effectively
?BA/BS or equivalent preferred
?6+ years successful account management or sales experience in related field.
