Inside Pre-Sales Support Engineer Meraki
Meraki seeks a sharp, energetic pre-sales support engineer to help support prospects as they evaluate the Meraki product line. You will work closely with many groups within the company, including sales, engineering, and product management to enable Meraki to continue its rapid growth.
Responsibilities
Contact prospective customers who have received trial equipment to schedule a support call
Assist the customer via phone in setting up the trial equipment in their environment
Follow up with prospects to answer technical questions on the evaluation equipment
Work with engineering and support to diagnose and resolve issues.
Work with Sales to coordinate the customer communication and follow up
Requirements
Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, e.g., be able to explain the functions of and differences among the link, network, transport, and application layers.
Outstanding account management, follow-through and problem solving skills, resourcefulness, attention to detail, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Fluency in English. Multi-lingual is a plus.
Excellent speaking and writing skills.
B.S. in computer science or a related technical discipline.
Characteristics of success
2 years experience with networking products.
Experience supporting or testing LANs, VLANs, VPNs, NAT devices, or DHCP servers.
Experience installing and trouble-shooting Wi-Fi networks (802.11a/b/g/n).
Ability to multi-task and to work under pressure.
