About this position:
Foursquare is building a world-class local sales organization with the mission of reinventing the way businesses connect with consumers at a hyper local level. Our mission is to help you and your friends make the most of where you are, and our Inside Sales Associates will have the unique opportunity to help us in our initial monetization efforts by selling Foursquare?s new and evolving suite of ad products to small and medium sized business (SMBs). The Local Sales team is the startup of our small company. You?ll be responsible for full cycle sales and building your own book of business, as well as contributing to the overall development of our local sales efforts.
Full-cycle inside sales (prospect, cold call, qualify, pitch and close deals) of Foursquare's suite of ad products to small and medium sized businesses.
Forecast, track and report sales performance, helping shape the development of Foursquare's monetization strategy as we build and iterate different marketing strategies for SMBs
Consult with internal players to identify the challenges of our advertising offerings and provide solutions for enhancing and scaling our local sales efforts.
Bring a kick-ass attitude as we develop a new team and all the fun cultural quirks that come with building something from the ground up.
Desire and passion for Sales! An entrepreneurial and strategic thinker that can evangelize and sell products that may be new to businesses while remaining hungry for the close.
Ideal candidates will have experience selling advertising to small and medium sized businesses within the restaurant, retail and hospitality categories and/or selling over the phone.
Self-motivated, team player comfortable in a small, intense and high-growth start-up environment
Excellent communication, presentation, prioritization, and organizational skills, and a strong commitment to detail
Track record of over-achievement
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
