Blu Homes is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Inside Sales Associate, based locally in San Francisco and reporting directly to the VP of Sales ? America?s. The new inside sales associate will be responsible for supporting the outside sales force initially by qualifying incoming leads and guiding these customers to the appropriate next step in the sales process. This exposure to the sales cycle will provide the inside sales associate with a solid foundation of knowledge on our product and the homebuilding process, positioning the inside sales associate for a long-term career path as an outside sales representative. It is imperative this person helps Blu Homes in providing a strong customer service experience with timely response and a professional approach. Blu Homes is a fast growing innovative technology startup aiming to change the landscape of the housing market with best-in-class precision built green houses. Using a uniquely integrated business model, and deeply proprietary information and building science technology, Blu empowers homeowners to design their homes online and for free using our 3-D configurator. The houses are then built in a Blu factory using a proprietary steel framing system that offers unique beauty along with environmental performance and strength, and then delivered to sites nationwide and finished by Blu teams. Ultimately, Blu?s mission is to provide home buyers and institutions worldwide with green buildings that are high quality, healthy, beautiful, and economical.
Candidates should embrace technology and be sharp, mature, excellent communicators that can bring high energy and a ?sense of urgency? for our fantastic customers! Applicants with an interest or understanding of growing a technology startup company are preferred.
Key responsibilities:
Respond to all inbound sales leads in a timely and professional manner
Qualify sales leads by assessing budget, needs, and timing;
Identify and address pain points and objections for all qualified prospects;
Gather and document information regarding lead status into Blu?s online CRM database;
Build relationships with qualified prospects who are not yet sales ready by conducting ongoing informative dialog;
Move qualified prospects to the next step in the sales cycle at the appropriate time and provide a smooth transition to outside sales representative;
Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the Blu product and process and communicate those trends to the sales organization.
Key requirements:
Technology background with ability to use web-based sales tools (Google Earth, etc.);
Ability to sell technical products or solutions and a strong interest in learning technical information about green homes and Blu?s proprietary technology;
Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce, etc.);
Strong track record in quota carrying sales or customer service;
Persuasive communicator with superior relationship building skills;
Excellent organization and time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks.
Experience:
1-2 years sales or customer service experience;
Minimum bachelor?s degree.
Compensation: Base salary + commission compensation and potential stock options (depending on experience and skill level). Standard benefits and T&E package.
