Position Summary
This position is perfect for someone who is looking to start their sales career or break into the software industry. Most entry level roles are completely lead generation focused and only involve cold calling and outbound activity, but not this one. Here you will have the opportunity to mix inbound lead qualification, client recapture, customer cultivation, and new business development.
This is not an Account Executive role and would not be a good fit for someone with extensive sales experience. This is an entry-level role and there's no closing involved, but it provides insight into every aspect of the sales process with opportunities for growth within the sales team once you've learned the ropes.
What youll be doing:
Prospect and create new business for assigned Account Executives via phone and email campaigns, using online demos as required
Qualify new opportunities by understanding and addressing customer pain points, specific product and service requirements, as well as budgetary issues and decision-making and procurement processes
Develop and cultivate existing accounts to maximize overall opportunity with existing customers
Overcome technical, budgetary, and/or competitive sales objections; position Nitro products against competition and map to customer requirements
Create and distribute targeted sales and marketing campaigns (email, phone, online demos, etc.)
Partner with Account Executives to ensure leads are brought from qualification to conversion to sales
Using Salesforce.com and other sales automation tools, provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reports that track progress to plan and targets
Consistently exceed monthly/quarterly qualified lead generation and conversion targets
Provide feedback to product management, marketing, support and other functional areas to help improve Nitros products and services as well as overall sales efforts and processes
What were looking for:
Recent college graduate or 1-2 years inside sales experience in a software/IT-related industry, specifically in cold calling, lead generation and qualification, and objection handling
BA/BS degree or equivalent
Hands-on experience using Salesforce.com (CRM) highly preferred
Experience using industry-leading sales and marketing automation tool, Eloqua, highly desirable
Proven success working under pressure in a goal-oriented environment with simultaneous ongoing projects and initiatives
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Confident and polished phone and email prospecting skills; experience conducting web-based demonstrations at all levels of an organization a plus
Superior interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to adapt communication style to the targeted audience
Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting skills as well superior critical-thinking abilities
Results-driven, self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude, and a strong drive for success
Computer literate with excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Knowledge of PDF software and the PDF software market in general, a big plus
Additional languages a plus
