Job duties:
Inside Sales Support
Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions
Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures and customers profitability profiles
Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or returns
Provide accurate information regarding availability of in-stock items
Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery
Proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales and offering promotional sale items
Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve product related sales and customer satisfaction
Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed
Fill requests for catalogs, information or samples
Remain current on consumer preferences, changes in local codes and product developments by attending sales meetings, vendor training and trade shows, or reading trade journals
Setup and maintain customer files
Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction
Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the sales and marketing team
Communicate to the purchasing department unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products
Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts, manage distribution inventory and POS Reports
Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.
Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment; communicating expected delivery date; explaining stock-outs.
Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaint
Customer Service
Provide frontline support to all customers.
Documents RMA problems and coordinates with the customer to arrange for the necessary replacement, repair or credits; Co-ordinate with customer regarding repair, following organizational procedures regarding RMA.
Receive RMA products and inspect them to ensure all parts have been received.
Become familiar with organizational processes, as RMA department requires communication with all departments.
Ensure that customers are serviced quickly, efficiently.
Screens calls from customers to ensure the calls related to RMA or Technical related matter
Follows-up with Customer to ensure timely arrival of sent products and to ensure that the products are working in good condition.
Log all calls into the Help Desk systems with appropriate information.
General
Follow all Company procedures and policies as required.
Communicate clearly to colleagues and co-workers to ensure best customer service and workmanship.
Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software
Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
This full-time position requires three or more years of experience in a similar role a High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required; some college coursework desired.
Computer skills - Must have intermediate to advanced computer skills and possess computer savvy to be able to learn and adapt to new programs with a reasonable amount of training. Working knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required. Additionally, experience with an ERP system not required but preferred.
