About the role
Brightcove is looking for an exceptional individual to take a leadership position in our sales and business development efforts. The right candidate is someone who has demonstrated experience selling technology solutions and in managing an Inside Sales team consisting of Terratory SMB (Express) Sales and Account Executives.. This person must have a proven track record for delivering on or exceeding revenue goals, ideally from within the SaaS platform sales industry. The candidate must be highly motivated, extremely organized, team-oriented, creative, and possess outstanding communication, leadership and negotiating skills.
Mission
- Provide leadersip and drive alignment between sales groups to optimize lead value
- Create and manage a team environment and collaboritive culture that supports Brightcove's overall strategy and goals.
Responsibilities
- Create, implement and own a sales team's pipeline to manage customer lead intake, outbound activity, prioritization and metrics for measurement of deal status.
- Achieve sales goals each quarter.
- Continuously develop and manage a set of metrics on team performance.
- Continuously grow revenue via increased reach and penetration across numerous content owner accounts as well as sales of new and incremental services.
- Create a team environment and collaborative culture where Express Sales Reps, Account Executives and Account Managers routinely communicate in order to provide clients with the right solution for their budgets.
- Work closely with the marketing team on lead generation strategies; understand how strategies and tactics impact sales success.
- Manage the team that will qualify high volumes of inbound requests.
- Work closely with the Account Management and Customer Support team to share learning across key customer accounts.
- Participate in the development and vetting of new product development opportunities.
- Prepare deal overviews and contract summaries for key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 5-7+ years experience in technology sales, ideally for a leading SaaS company.
- 2-5+ years experience managing an Inside Sales team.
- BA/BS in Business, Marketing or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to manage an inside sales team, manage the team pipeline, coach individuals during deal negotiation and carry through and close deals.
- Demonstrated ability to implement tactics and strategies around lead qualification.
- An ability to assess client needs effectively and address needs through new products and services.
- A proven track record delivering on or exceeding revenue goals.
- A proven ability to demonstrate a solution over the phone/web conference.
- Hands-on approach to tackling tactical as well as strategic work.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial startup in which cross-functional teamwork and initiative is a must.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

This position is located in our London Office.
