Inside Sales role generating revenue by selling and servicing accounts via the phone and/or Internet. Duties include inbound and/or outbound telesales activity for new or existing accounts. May be assigned to respond to email inquiries and orders. May also generate leads for field sales team and/or sales channel. Responsible for generating revenue by closing sales. Shares quota with assigned Field Sales Rep. Accountable for closing sales opportunities within a geographic territory.
Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years sales experience recommended.
Previous experience selling services in support of technology products is highly desirable.
Prior experience selling through a Channel model recommended.
Strong computer skills
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Exhibits natural verbal sales skills
Prior CRM application knowledge highly recommended.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Performs inside sales activities within assigned geographic area or product/service line via phone to meet or exceed revenue objectives
Tied to specific sales rep or field sales team along with a Channel Account Manager
Places outbound calls to solicit sales to new and existing clients ? sales opportunities range from $100 - $20-$30,000+ transactions
Secures and places orders; arranges delivery dates
Often responsible for moderately complex and somewhat difficult to close sales
Delegates appropriate sales calls to Reseller, Field/Channel Sales Representative
After qualifying sales leads, makes decisions as to whether he/she will close the sales opportunity or delegate the lead to a Field Sales or Reseller Sales Representative for closure
Responds to e-mail inquiries, orders, and other communications arriving via the internet or phone.
Answers questions for resellers when the Channel Account Manager is traveling
Supports the Field Sales person where applicable on opportunities from the assigned territory
Creates proposals and quotes based on client requirements
Proactively contacts resellers to help support and identify next steps to advance sales opportunities that the Inside Sales Representative is managing.
Updates company CRM application for all records resulting from quota/revenue within the assigned geographic territory
Dispatches leads to the reseller sales channel and assists the Channel Account Manager in following up on leads delegated
Serves as a liaison between customers and appropriate company departments to resolve customer questions and problems
Occasional field visits to customer sites to conduct training, address customer concerns, etc.
Responsible for forecasting revenue and keeping sales opportunity records up to date
