GENERAL PURPOSE:
The right person, utilizing two or more years of sales experience in an industry-related field and the ability to adapt to and excel in a fast paced environment, will contribute proactive account development over telephone and email to explain and sell Access services and other products related to access to small and medium sized business accounts. Creates informative communications regarding products, positioning, pricing and the marketing of programs to key accounts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contact new small and medium size business accounts, analyze business applications and broadband access requirements for the purpose of selling broadband access and services in support of the MegaPath corporate business plan.
- Effectively communicate technical information and benefits related to product features, use and implementation considerations.
- Perform analysis and problem solving services. Conduct professional and technical communications.
- Respond to inbound calls and place outbound calls to follow up on generated leads.
- As a team player, you will assist in all levels of sales administration including contract negotiation, post-sales follow up and support through final installation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with assigned partners and customers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 2 to 4 years previous telesales experience selling T1, DSL, VPN or broadband is required.
- College degree preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent customer service skills a must.
- Must have a demonstrated record of success selling in telecommunications or broadband.
- Must be a self starter with a can-do attitude and possess excellent organization skills.
- Must be detail oriented and possess excellent analytical and problem solving skills with logical thought processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including excellent telephone skills is required.
- Knowledge of T1, DSL, VPN and broadband services required.
- Experience selling Frame Replacement solutions to corporate customers a significant plus.
- Previous customer service or technical support experience in high tech a plus.
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Windows, MS Word, MS Excel and email are necessary.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Constant use of telephone with headset.
- Constant use computer including keyboard and mouse.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
