Hospitals spend billions of dollars advertising each year and online share is projected to steadily increase. The Inside Sales Representative will be located in New York or Cincinnati and will be responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals. He/she will call on Hospitals and their advertising agencies and provide them with an opportunity to leverage the Everyday Health network of sites ? and its 28 Million + unique visitors, to achieve their digital goals. These deals will be primarily CPM based media sales. The average sale is $20,000 and growing with significant repeat business opportunities.
The candidate will proactively prospect for new business and start building client relationships as well as keep accurate records to compile a database of decision makers and influencers. There will be a strong incentive comp opportunity for this individual.
Reaching sales goals as set by management.
Prospecting for new business, preparing winning presentations and proposals.
Coordinate communications and develop client outreach strategies. Track client correspondence and develop status reports to effectively manage new sales opportunities.
Be the point liaison with internal departments for all opportunities. Work with Sales Planning, Sales Development, Research, Email and Lead Gen teams to create client proposals and PowerPoint presentations and ensure pipeline is accurate.
Attend internal campaign pacing meetings to oversee campaign launches, delivery and performance. Follow up on any outstanding deliverables and/or issues. Be additional checkpoint to client services and adops for the overall delivery of all campaigns.
Provide weekly reporting per management direction.
Participate in staff meetings and brainstorms.
Provide ongoing sales and account related support.
Passion for selling and closing business
Experience: 3 years of increasing sales success ? preferably inside sales
Exceptional written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills to comfortably interface with executives and clients via the telephone
Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision to initiate and complete tasks
Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks with conflicting priorities
Resourceful, competitive, diligent, passionate and relentless in pursuing and closing business
Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Outlook, Sales Force and Dart highly preferred
Experience with media planning and RFPs is helpful
Bachelor?s degree preferred
