The Catbird Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for selling the company?s software products and services via telephone. A typical day involves speaking with 20-30 end user customers and 10+ partners that are considering purchasing Catbird products. The candidate is held accountable to generate and nurture leads and assist the outside sales team and partners with closing projects. Applicant will be responsible for delivering a positive customer experience via the Catbird sales model while maximizing revenue and margin generation. We?re looking for people who love to win, have strong business ethics and great communication skills.
Articulates to prospects, Catbirds products and services value proposition.
Involvement in outside sales team and partner sales teams.
Regular coaching/mentoring required.
Frequent contact with manager.
Learns the Catbird technology, products, and services and is able to identify how these products and services align to customer needs.
Explains technical, industry, and market facts to position Catbird as a competitive solution.
Cooperates and collaborates with colleagues in all departments to support the sales process.
Self-motivated with a high attention to detail and ability to multitask
An unwavering positive attitude, strong drive for results, and the ability to deal with ambiguity are a must
Need to be familiar with computers and technology and comfortable using the Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications.
Applicants need to be comfortable working with others and in a team environment
Must be open to receiving constructive criticism (feedback) and applying and integrating the feedback in an effort to improve their results
Demonstrates good judgment in analyzing information to make routine decisions
Knowledge can be demonstrated either through direct experience or similar experiences through internships
At least 2 years of direct phone sales experience selling enterprise software (i.e. directly closing deals)
Experience selling in a team environment, coordinating with field sales and partner sales teams.
Experience selling into a datacenter
Experience uncovering and working opportunities end-to-end (found, developed, closed)
Experience in building/generating a geography-based or vertical business
Experience with longer sales cycles, keeping them active and closing
Consistent achievement with a background in exceeding quota
Knowledge in selling complex enterprise systems products
Solicit, develop and close new accounts
Generate new business from in-bound leads
Schedule and perform online presentations and demonstrations
Manage and track all sales activities within SFDC
Meet required activity levels for outbound calls, on-line demonstrations, and pipeline growth
Desired Skills & Experience
3 or more years of sales experience in IT software or services, knowledge of virtual datacenter ecosystems
Bachelor?s Degree Preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ideal candidate is dynamic, adaptable, and proactive with an entrepreneurial spirit
Experience with Network Security products and or Compliance products
Experience selling one or more of the following products, VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Cisco Security, Checkpoint, Palo Alto Networks
