Job Description
This position is designed for an individual with a focused inside sales, lead generation, and outbound business development role. This position is responsible for the initial qualification of inbound leads generated by marketing campaigns, web activity, events, secured through lists, third-parties, partners and other sources. He or she is motivated and enjoys working in a fast paced setting. They are adept at cold calling and thorough in making and tracking follow up calls.
The Inside Sales Coordinator will determine appropriate next steps for these leads, such as sending to Marketing for nurturing, forwarding to Sales executive or continuing to work the lead. Individual excels at interacting over the phone and face-to-face with clients and prospects, and is skilled at building rapport with potential customers, including C-Level professionals and managers in hospital and health system settings. Demonstrates ability to multi-task, use various software, including Excel and Salesforce.com, document, and interact with clients, prospects and colleagues. As part of the marketing team, this role will champion the follow-up from marketing programs and campaigns to convert suspects and prospective clients to qualified clients, readied for more focused sales contact.
Responsibilities:
Meets or exceeds monthly or annual targets.
Participates fully in training sessions, meetings, skill building and professional development classes to stay up to date on services, solutions and messaging.
Identifies decision makers amongst the targeted leads in order to start sales process.
Follows-up on marketing programs and campaigns to convert suspects and prospective clients to qualified clients.
Maintains and expands the database of prospects, and any pertinent details.
Updates database with information from lead capture forms/incoming leads, addresses follow up needs with sales and marketing and/or directly follows up to vette and nurture leads.
Cold calls prospective leads from databases, lists, web forms and other promotional methods to determine and track if qualified or unqualified.
Emphases service or product features and benefits to prospective leads.
Addresses preliminary client questions and handles overcoming objections.
Identifies experts and sales executives to provide additional detail in sales follow-up meeting.
Prepares sales follow-up reports or forms; forwards qualified leads to the correct sales person based on region and criteria.
Solicits interest in sales follow-up meeting and coordinates booking via Salesforce.com and Outlook.
Captures accurate and complete information in Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)/Salesforce.com.
Builds and runs reports to track lead generation and nurturing progress through sales pipeline.
Coordinates follow up letters, thank you letters and sending applicable materials to nurture identified leads.
Staffs local, regional and national tradeshow booths and similar marketing opportunities with Marketing colleagues, and in partnership with sales team, to drive booth traffic and generate leads for follow-up.
Supports continued process improvement of the lead management system and actively participates in developing lead follow up plans for key campaigns.
Requirements
Bachelors degree preferably in Marketing with 3+ years inside sales, administrative and/or business-to-business experience in a marketing/sales environment.
Experience selling to hospitals.
MS Office experience required with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Salesforce.com CRM and campaign experience.
