Description
eChalk is looking for a competitive Inside Sales professional to sell a complex SaaS application directly to decisionmakers within the K-12 community, including Superintendents, Curriculum Directors, Principals and Technology Directors. S/he will report to the Inside Sales Manager and will work with the senior member of a close-knit team to develop the skills necessary for selling into a highly specialized market, while independently developing and maintaining his/her opportunities. S/he will also be responsible for meeting and exceeding an annual booking quota. Tasks involved will include maintaining a high daily volume of phone and email correspondence, conducting online demonstrations, prospecting and occasional travel for conferences and tradeshows.
Responsibilities
Create, develop and close sales opportunities in order to achieve and exceed an annual booking quota within an assigned territory
Sell the eChalk SaaS model solutions, as well as other service offerings
Aggressive cold calling, prospecting, web-based demonstrations and sales presentations and extensive follow-up
Follow up on leads generated by marketing campaigns, tradeshows and corporate website and act as an inbound sales hotline for calls coming in from various marketing and sales initiatives
Establish and cultivate key relationships via the phone
May represent eChalk at industry tradeshows and conventions
Offer support for field sales representatives if needed and as directed
Requirements
Bachelors degree required
1-3 years of successful inside sales experience required; ideally in the SaaS environment
Mastery of aggressive cold calling, prospecting, lead qualification and follow-up
Ability to deliver comprehensive product demonstrations via the web and telecomm
Opportunity creation, development and closing within a value-based sales methodology
Self-motivated, ability to work independently yet always a team player
Knowledge of various Windows-based applications, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as various internet technologies
Familiarity with CRMs, ideally Salesforce.com
Superb listening, communication (verbal and written) negotiation and phone skills
Ability to manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities
