Volusion is seeking an Instructional Designer for our Services team. This person will be responsible for planning, developing and delivering course material for customer training. We?re looking for a self-starter with a strong background working cross-functionally to get the information needed to create new training courses. Ideal candidates will have experience delivering training in a range of formats including e-learning, ILT, webinar and virtual environments.
Work with cross-functional key stakeholders (Product, Sales, Marketing, Ops) to define, design and implement training programs in alignment with launch plans and business priorities.
Design and author Enterprise level product, service and solutions training in a range of formats including E-learning, ILT, Webinar & Virtual environments.
Design and deliver TtT (Train the Trainer) courses with defined business impact & KPIs measures.
Develop learning plans & objectives aligned to role based competency matrix.
Create, deploy and manage the partner training and certification programs aligned to business objectives.
Create and maintain a training deployment roadmap corresponding to the product roadmap.
Use project management methodologies to establish project plans, cadence and SLAs.
Create Beta testing for all new training programs.
Develop pre and post online assessments for training courses used to build training metrics, where required.
Ensure that all training documents are technically accurate; proof documentation for consistency with regard to audience clarity, organization, readability and completeness.
Work with key stakeholders to help identify curriculum revision needs as well as to ensure training consistency.
Advanced knowledge of training design, development and effectiveness.
Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory and Curriculum Design methodologies.
Working knowledge of training strategies and operations.
Ability to work consultatively with teams to plan, develop and deliver training curriculum.
Provide metric analysis and reporting on training readiness and effectiveness.
Strong project management experience or skills.
