Instructional Designer Vertafore, Inc.
Exceptional Instructional Design underlies the success of our clients as they adopt our industry leading, powerful Agency Management Systems. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining curriculum for Vertafore training courses as well as integrating new product releases information and client feedback into existing courseware. Developed curriculum will support instructor-led training for the classroom and online delivery, as well as self-paced solutions.
Use your experience designing, developing, and maintaining course materials to immediately impact new product releases.
Create supporting training documentation including presentations, user guides, quick reference materials, exercises and templates, web-based training, tests, and training effectiveness evaluations.
Work with cross-functional teams to develop course specifications and gathering course content.
Team with subject matter experts and stakeholders, gathering expertise to guide content development focused on learning initiatives.
Ensure the training curriculum addresses the requirements of all Vertafore audiences.
Developed certification program for specific instructor audiences.
Write and validate assessments and certification questions.
Adhere to established methods and standards.
Proven experience with curriculum design principles and practices to include; adult learning theories, structured writing techniques, interactive training, learning design, e-learning design principles, distance learning, self-paced instruction and evaluation methods.
Proven ability to produce training materials in a variety of formats utilizing the latest industry tools.
Commitment to high quality in training materials.
Analysis of complex training challenges to present effective educational solutions.
Ability to prioritize and balance multiple, on-going projects.
Ability to establish excellent relationships with extended training team as well as with training delivery, product management, development, support, and client representatives.
Expert knowledge of Windows Office applications required; working knowledge of web-based development tools and LMS experience is desirable.
Portfolio of candidate-authored samples required for consideration
Bachelor?s degree or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years of experience in technical and systems curriculum development.
Experience with Articulate required, Storyline preferred
Solid experience with developing course materials, learning objectives, training aids, and hands-on exercises.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS OR REQUIRED WORK SCHEDULE
Periodic travel may be required, less than 10%
