The Instructional Designer will be integral to training new and existing customers and employees in order to continue to meet the needs of our growing user base. SilkRoad technology is looking for a sharp, energetic, focused, and professional Instructional Designer to work out of the Chicago, IL area.
Job Responsibilities
Designs, develops and updates course material for new and existing company products, solutions, and services in a collaborative team environment using instructional design methodologies;
Develops customized instructor-led and e-learning courses as required for internal, partner, and client audiences;
Works with subject matter experts to develop new product micro-courses for online learning;
Demonstrates and utilizes effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills;
Delivers professional customer service to all internal, external and potential clients;
Utilizes multimedia technology and authoring tools.

Strong computer and software skills; proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint;

Project Management skills;
Knowledge of SCORM.
Required Experience
Bachelor?s degree, preferably in Instructional Design or related field.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience developing training courses using alternative media, including, but not limited to: computer-based training, web-based training, and other alternative technologies.
Candidates must be lawfully and fully (without restriction) employable in the United States either by virtue of citizenship or by having authorization from the INS and the US Department of Labor.
