Job Description
TiER1 is looking for an experienced, energetic, ?smart but humble? Instructional Designer who is passionate about learning and human performance.
Our Instructional Designers work with the client to perform needs analysis and define highly creative, interactive solutions that will effectively address learning objectives. The Instructional Designer must be a consultant to the client first and foremost, developing solutions that are appropriate to the problem, budget and resources available. This requires someone with strong consulting and interpersonal skills. In addition, the Instructional Designer will be expected to work with TiER1 software products to create highly effective learning solutions.
Our Instructional Designers do all the things good designers do ? we just expect them to do it better. We are a custom shop, so every project includes new challenges and opportunities. That being said, we expect our designers to have the ability to work at all levels ? developing eLearning, instructor-led training, and performance support tools.
Qualifications
The right individual should:
Have practical experience in applying instructional design models, such as ADDIE
Have experience in designing eLearning courseware
Be able to conduct instructional design analyses and utilize findings to develop learning objectives, training activities, and materials targeted precisely to meet audience needs
Be able to see the big picture and recognize where instructional design fits into the overall project model
Be a creative problem-solver and not afraid to accept challenges
Align well with the TiER1 culture, which means they should enjoy collaborative work, be disciplined but entrepreneurial and creative, place a high value on personal relationships and the opportunity to impact people, have very high personal standards of excellence, and value the creation of value for others
Must have 3+ years of professional and/or academic experience in instructional design and adult education, with a demonstrated history of:
analyzing, designing, and developing engaging learning experiences
working well with subject matter experts
thriving in a collaborative environment and being a strong team player
BA or BS degree required
Willing to travel as necessary
