Marketo is looking for a world-class Instructional Designer / Content Developer who can help define, sell and oversee the delivery of high-value services that will help Marketo customers achieve breakthrough results in revenue generation.
The role makes a key contribution to the Services Organization. Responsibilities include working closely with subject matter experts to get the latest information about upcoming product releases, contributing to the build-out of the Learning Center as the core resource for user information, supporting releases of multiple Marketo products to users, developers, and others, and creating materials such as online help, tutorials, knowledge base articles, training modules and videos. This position will design, create, deliver, and update current and upcoming documentation and training content.
The successful individual in this role is detail-oriented, energetic, and flexible, and can work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and shifting priorities.
Responsibilities
Refresh current documentation and training courses by incorporating multimedia elements and contributing to the development of new types of deliverables that enhance the experience for customers, developers, and partners
Contribute to the development of templates and maintain a working knowledge of assigned products and processes
Work with Subject Matter Experts (SME?s) to create training curriculum for classroom and online courses.
Create project plans for curriculum development projects.
Meet deadlines and ensure timely completion and delivery of instructional design projects.
Collaborate with team on instructional design projects and manage online course development.
Manage course projects from inception to completion.
Develop curriculum guides for courses and/or program components.
Design and deliver production of learning resources in variety of formats including print, graphics, audio, video, and animation technologies to support curriculum offerings.
Required Skills/ Experience
5+ years of instructional design / content development experience and solid knowledge of adult learning principles
Experience with tools for the development and delivery of software documentation
Experience with content development for a training audience
Experience with marketing practices and new product implementations
Experience with industry standard tools for online documentation development and delivery
Experience with industry standard tools for training material development
Experience in documenting / content development for marketing software and/or SaaS (Software as a Service) a big plus
Experience with enterprise software applications such as CRM, SFA, and marketing software a plus
Proven project and time management skills in an environment where you may be contributing to several projects simultaneously
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Must be a quick learner, self-starter and have the ability to work with minimal supervision in fast-paced environment
Competent presentation skills for online or classroom training delivery.
Four-year college/university degree required.
