Flat World Knowledge is looking for Instructional Designers to be key members in a long term development project to design and implement a web-based learning platform. Duration of the project is expected to be 18-24 months. Candidates can be based remotely, but are preferred in the (Southern California/NYC/DC) area, and can expect to travel between 10-50% of the time, depending on location.
The ideal candidate has a history of creatively incorporating Bloom?s taxonomy in the development of online courses. Candidate should have knowledge of program management, experience in instructional design, technical writing, and implementation. He or she demonstrates and utilizes effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills. Candidates should have a relevant degree in Education, Instructional Design or a technology field.
Designs and develops instructional materials for undergraduate-level courses
Integrates technology across multiple platforms and vendors, including social learning networks and adaptive learning engines
Developing platforms in mobile and non-PC formats
Works with faculty and staff of client to convert existing courses into web-based, interactive classes, training models, quizzes and exams
Develop competency assessments based on courses and learning objectives
Help design user experience components
Manage the production of a web-based instructional content and design, including texts, study and exam questions, etc.
