Job Description :
Position overview: Performs a variety of clerical functions related to patient record-keeping compliance while ensuring adherence to contractual requirements and federal, state, and local government regulations.
JOB / DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES (Listed in order of importance)
Request and receive required documentation for insulin pump supplies from prescribing physicians office. This includes, but is not limited to, changes to prescriptions, physicians and insurances.
Responsible for managing the prior authorization process for insulin pump supplies.
Verify daily orders for accuracy and completeness.
Monitor and follow up orders on hold to ensure release of revenue.
Assist audit team with Medicare audit follow ups as needed.
Manage all required paperwork in compliance with government regulations.
Assist the billing group with documentation related billing issues.
Other tasks as assigned by manager.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements
Knowledge / Education
High School Diploma
Bachelor?s degree in related field preferred
Job Experience
Minimum of 1 year working experience in a professional setting.
Previous customer service experience preferred.
Skills / Competencies
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Working knowledge of documentation functions of a medical device company preferred.
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate at all organizational levels
Ability to organize and judge priorities
Ability to generate and maintain accurate records
Comfortable communicating to all levels and functions
Must have strong clerical skills (filing, alphabetization, etc.)
Very strong organizational skills
Very strong attention to detail
Able to work in a team environment
Physical Requirements
Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
Manual dexterity needed for using a calculator and computer keyboard.
Lightweight lifting may be required
