SourceMedical is currently seeking an Insurance Verificaiton Specialist for its location in Fort Myers, Florida.
Summary of Position:
Verificaiton of Insurance Coverage for Surgery Centers, while registering patients into Medical Software. Working with patients to advise financial responsibility for services.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Obtain demographic insurance information from Surgical Centers/ Dr. Offices
2. Complete patient regristration while entering demographic/ insurance information into Medical system
3. Place appropriate notes in patient accounts
4. Provide insurance information to admitting clerk
5. Scanning
6. Other duties as assigned
Education/Qualifications:
-- High school graduate or GED certification
-- Knowledge of all medical billing, insurance guidelines and patient financial counseling experience
-- Knowledge of computers and Windows-driven software
-- Excellent command of written and spoken English
-- Cooperative work attitude toward and with co-employees, management, patients, outside contacts
-- Ability to promote favorable company image with patients, insurance companies, and general public
-- Ability to solve problems associated with assigned tasks
