Based in NYC's Union Square, Knewton is poised to revolutionize the practice of education with the world's most powerful adaptive learning engine. You are a junior or mid-level designer eager to work as a dedicated, on-site member of the product development team on meaty, worthwhile projects.
You definitely:
- have training and/or 2-4 years of experience in web-based interactive design
- consider yourself a problem-solver: you are preoccupied with interaction design + usability
- understand how to work within a design system
- are a self-starter - can self-direct a project with limited direction
- have an appreciation for simplicity as a design principle
- are interested in pushing the envelope on web 2.0 ui design
- have a natural ability to make information beautiful
Responsibilities:
- wireframing for our product
- developing sitemaps/user flows where needed
- prototyping design solutions
- specifying guidelines and interaction patterns
- user observation + usability testing
Other skills you may have:
- visual design
- front-end development.
