NetSpend is currently seeking an Interactive Art Director to join our creative team. This position will work closely with the VP of Creative Services and the Art Director of Brand and Identity to concept, create, and design innovative and usable solutions for all interactive media. The ideal candidate will have a diverse range of experience in design, information architecture and understanding the logistics of what code can do.
Communication is crucial in this role. The IAD must be able to communicate effectively with creative/production teams. He or she will obsess over the best ways to both design and executive innovate digital experiences. He or she will know which design principles will work for best-in-class brand, interactive, mobile, and web experiences and be able to can sell the concepts to management.

Head the development and execution of creative concepts, and style guides that adhere to brand standards
Lead a team of designers, copywriters, project managers, and other production specialists to successfully translate concepts into leading-edge interactive experiences.
Ensure the usability, consistency, brand relevance, and functionality of finished products
Demonstrate proficiency in the latest Adobe Creative Suite, development tools, motion development, and ActionScript
Able to visually integrate elements from information architects, editorial, and technical specs from development and product groups
Strong communication skills working with the client and design teams. Art Directors need to be able to clearly and concisely express themselves and explain their ideas.
Able to stick to pre-established schedules, or communicate effectively the reasons for schedule deviations.
Develop elegant web solutions that perform appropriately and degrade gracefully in multiple browsers, platforms, and media types.
Review information architecture and creative designs for feasibility.
Adapt visual designs into dynamic websites and website templates.
Adhere to and helps develop best practices.
Contribute to the development of various concept-driven projects.
Bachelor?s degree from four-year University or similar training ? ideally focused on art and/or design.
5+ years Experience working in an agency or relevant creative environment.
Ability to work with a large variety of clients.
Experience with UX strategy and wire framing
Mobile and responsive web design experience necessary
Ability to communicate and inform the project team members.
Solid understanding of client deliverables, and the ability to take responsibility for them.
Specific knowledge of design tools for the online environment.
Ability to create superior, original designs for the Web.
Must demonstrate ability to deliver projects to client specifications, within timeline and budget.
Ability to create exceptional designs under strict deadline.
Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
Thorough understanding of web standards.
List of URLs/online portfolio; please give SPECIFIC details about your level of involvement (concept, art, code, programming, etc.) on each project.
Familiarity with current trends in web design and online environments.
Deadline-oriented with the ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple projects within tight timeframes.
