Job Description
The Interactive HTML5 Developer is a creative designer with programming chops to work independently, but the people skills to work as part of a design team (graphic artist, programmer, and subject matter experts) to deliver innovative solutions for online learning. This team member is part of the industry leading Precyse University team that offers expertise in user interface design for interactive games, simulations, mobile platforms, and even new lesson formats. We are seeking a highly dedicated, passionate, and energized professional who enjoys creating the new and the best and working in a very fast-pace environment.
Responsibilities:
? Write presentation-tier HTML5/Javascript code (using libraries and plug-ins where necessary)
? Create prototypes to explore design ideas, support usability testing, and incorporate user along with subject matter expert input
? Produce clean, easy-to-read, HTML markup and CSS, adhering to W3C specifications and best practices
? Use image optimization to provide a balance between great quality images and fast site speed
? Apply techniques for cross-browser and cross-platform interface development
? Assist with requirements gathering and user interface design
? Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
? A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
? Works with various company departments to ensure that colleague and client questions and issues are resolved quickly and accurately
? Performs special projects upon request
? Performs other tasks as assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS
? Skilled in HTML5, CSS3 & OO Javascript
? Coding to JSON and RESTful APIs
? 2+ years experience with the software development cycle: product specification, design, implementation, QA, release, and maintenance
? Experience creating core requirements and design deliverables, such as user profiles, scenarios, and wireframes
? Experience with optimizing graphics for the web
? Experience with mySQL, t-SQL
? A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for code quality that follows best practices
? A strong passion for learning and adapting to new technologies
? Writing low maintenance, high reliability codes to be used in a 24/7 environment
? Working with peers in other groups to define software standards and explore new technologies
? Experience with providing assistance and interact with customers to provide solutions
? Experience with SCORM is highly desirable
? Experience with Moodle is desirable
? Experience with iOS, iBooks, Android, and other interactive media/mobile platforms and programming
? A bachelors degree in computer science or related discipline is desirable
