Interface Analyst Medsphere Systems

The Medsphere Interface Analyst acts as the primary integration resource during the implementation of Medsphere's Openvista application. This member of the implementation team is responsible for ensuring that the customer?s integration needs are met and that the Project Manager has necessary information related to interfacing with other systems and applications. The Interface Analyst works with interface resources from both the customer and other third-party software vendors, and acts as the primary point of contact for all activities related to interfaces. This position reports directly to the Director of Implementation Services and is ultimately accountable to the assigned Project Manager.
Responsibilities
Act as primary interface analyst on the OpenVista project team, and as an alternate interface analyst as needed
Work with the client in the development of interface specifications
Design and deploy interfaces that meet agreed upon specifications
Coordinate all activity related to integration between various systems and facilitate communication between key participants
Provide timely updates to the project manager on integration activity
Develop schedules and timelines on interface design and interface deployment; consistently deliver milestones that meet timelines
Travel onsite as needed to assist with various integration deliverables
Develop documentation on process or integration related topics
Required Skills
Experience in the development of interfaces using the HL7 protocol
Knowledge of the development of interfaces using an HL7 interface engine platform/tool set.
Understanding of the interoperability between software systems in a healthcare environment
Strong knowledge of Java/JavaScript languages
Ability to work independently in a remote setting
Ability to work on and manage multiple parallel assignments
Desired Skills and Education
Previous work with the Mirth Interface Engine
Development experience on a MUMPS or VA VistA platform
Understanding of the Unix (RH Linux) operating system and the command line interface
Understanding of the Windows Server operating system and related tools
Mastery of multiple programming languages
Ability to write shell or PERL scripts
Knowledge of Cache or GT.M System Management
BS in computer science or similar degree
