Develop Final Test mechanical hardware and handler technology for next generation products ? contactor selection,thermal characterization, handler standards, high temperature operation.
Support global final test hardware and handler activities - Global hardware standards; interface between business groups and internal factories / external factories / suppliers; use of standard CAD package (Solidworks); support of global design archive
Provide Final Test New Product Introduction mechanical hardware and handler support at local site - Assist organizations on design / documentation / sourcing / fabrication / assembly / testing / debugging / rollout of new hardware kits onto Final Test floor. Global support for Business Unit, New Product Introduction and Production test floors with existing hardware issues (build, debug, repair, source, redesign, maintain), interface with the suppliers, rollout of repeat hardware kits onto Final Test floor
Candidate is currently pursuing Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge of Solidworks and Machine Shop capabilities will be an added advantage.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Freescale is looking for an intern for 10 weeks.
