Intern, MWS Special Projects
This position focuses on the development of new product prototypes for the Mobile Wireless Solutions (MWS) business unit. Activities will be heavily focused on achieving never before seen product capabilities needed to meet the business roadmap. New products and features in advance concepts are expected to be brought to market within 18 months. The candidate will take on various responsibilities that will include running experiments, performing characterizations and analyzing test data. They will work with experienced designers to address the challenges of developing industry leading products. Products types include RF switches, power amplifiers and tunable RF products. As part of a cross-functional product development team the candidate will support other essential disciplines including applications, production and test engineering.
Roles & Responsibilities
This position has responsibility for:
Design Validation: Performing lab measurements and create validation report with comparisons vs Cadence/ADS simulations.
PCB Design: Working with PCB designers and other tools to create test boards and advance our product knowledge
Product Characterization: Measure, analyze and document data of product performance
Experimental Design: Create experimental chips and designs to prove out new product concepts

Hands on use of RF measurement equipment to validate performance of CMOS RF ICs
RF measurements ? NF, IP3, IP2, matching using smith charts, time domain measurements etc.
Knowledge of analog and RF IC Design.
Familiarity with analog & RF IC layout techniques
Strength in documentation clarity and completeness
Team player with a strong sense of urgency and an inquisitive nature
Software tools: Matlab, JMP, Datapower, National Instruments LabView, Cadence, ADS
Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet product requirements on schedule
Education and Experience:
BSEE(must be completing 3+ yr) or MSEE or PhD candidate.
RF/analog IC product characterization and RF measurement techniques with strong technical skills are a plus
