Responsibilities:
Communicating and working with campus-wide contacts to grow awareness on campus, e.g. working with dorm leaders, heads of campus department and others to grow awareness of Zipcar as an alternative to car ownership
Location management, including but not limited to suggesting ways to maximize awareness of Zipcar through location merchandising, planning and procuring new locations and location maintenance
Vehicle auditing to insure a best-in-class experience for Zipcar members every time the reserve a car.
Writing and executing a marketing plan tailored to San Diego State and the surrounding area
At Zipcar, one of our main functional pillars is delivering results by controlling CPA, driving member engagement with the brand and acquiring new members through fun, local, activities. You should expect us to be analyzing performance of marketing programs through those activities.
Other relevant duties, as required
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate program at SDSU with at least a 3.0 GPA.
Sophomore and juniors preferred.
Business, economics with business emphasis or marketing major preferred
Superior attention to detail and strong proofreading skills
Ability to assemble and present numerical data effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility, willingness to try new things and a sense of humor a plus
Live on or near the SDSU campus
Internship is paid. Academic credit offered where available.
Commitment requires 12-15 hrs per week, ideally over 2 days but schedule is flexible. May be eligible for free membership and employee discount on driving rates.
