Job Description
We are searching for Intern/Co-op Software Engineers to join our growing development team. We are looking for current students who have a demonstrated track record of high performance, teamwork, passion for technology, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Engineering interns at PeopleAdmin will work closely with senior developers to design and develop our market leading Talent Management application. Our application is written in Ruby on Rails and is one of the largest enterprise Rails applications in the market.

Responsibilities
Intern/Co-op Software Engineers will learn how to scale Ruby on Rails, develop customer-facing features, address production issues and support a real-time application.
This role will learn how to work through different layers of a high-traffic system to investigate, troubleshoot, and fix bugs. This role will also involve collaborating on new feature work with senior developers. Beyond customer-facing work, this role will also work with our team to refine and improve our framework and infrastructure as we work to scale and grow our platform.
Qualifications
Current enrollment working towards a BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical degree
A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and object-oriented software design
Excellent teamwork skills and ability to assist other team members in problem-solving
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal oversight
Skills/Experience
Programming experience in one or more of the following: Ruby, Java, Python, JavaScript/AJAX
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
Education
Current enrollment working towards a BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical degree
