About the Position: FTEN is seeking a resourceful, focused and experienced individual to join our team in Lakewood, CO as an Intern. You will be part of a development team that writes Java-based applications that are used by the most demanding customers of the leading firms in the financial securities industry. You will assist in the analysis of problems and support issues raised by customers via phone, email, or portal.
Experience and Skills:
- Must be pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science with 3.0 GPA
- Strong programming skills in a non-J2EE JAVA environment
- Ability to analyze, code, debug, test and validate software applications
- Comfortable in a Linux command-line environment, shell scripting and XML is a plus
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles
- Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
- Strong interpersonal skills, sense of humor and exceptional character
