Job Summary:
The Virtualization Development Intern will assist with verification activities for Stratus?s next-generation software-based advanced development. We are seeking a summer intern to work from 30 to 40 hours per week for the summer months at our Maynard, MA location. Start and end dates are negotiable.
Responsibilities include:
Installation and configuration of commodity Linux virtualization-based platforms.
Use of open source tools and test-harnesses to test/validate fault tolerant functionality.
Enhancing open source tools and test-harnesses to better serve the project needs
Preliminary debug of test with increasing responsibility on this area as the intern gains expertise with the development project
The successful candidate will work alongside engineers and participate in staff meetings and other activities, developing a solid understanding of the department?s work.
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics and have completed at least two full semesters of study.
High level of computer proficiency.
Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
High attention to detail.
Desired Experience:
Knowledge and understanding of Linux and/or virtualization and a high level of competency in programming languages is a strong positive.
