2U has an exciting opportunity for an Internal Communications and Social Media Manager to support 2U?s corporate functions. This person will be responsible for the planning and execution of campaigns targeted to internal audiences that promote awareness and adoption of business processes, tools, and policies and support engagement/retention goals. They will also effectively engage online audiences about the 2U brand with a primary focus on Facebook, LinkedIn, Youtube, Twitter, Google+ and the 2U website.
The Internal Communications and Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing relationships with business leaders, providing counsel and developing strategic communications plans to further the business' goals.
As the Internal Communications and Social Media Manager, you will support a variety of company initiatives and be responsible for the following:
? Developing and implementing company-wide internal communication strategies, tactics and materials in support of strategic company goals and objectives.
? Ensuring messaging and content are consistent with and integrated into company approved internal/external messaging.
? Coordinating, creating, implementing, and measuring/monitoring communication plans in support of multiple projects simultaneously.
? Providing internal communications advice and counsel to senior management.
? Providing communications support for major internal corporate meetings and events, as necessary:
?Manages and updates company intranet and internal branding.
?Create engaging social media content in alignment with corporate strategy and platform-specific opportunities;
?Determine deliverables, timelines, and execution standards for social media campaigns;
?Manage consumer engagement across all social media platforms, maintaining the highest standards of brand voice and spirit;
?Keep abreast of developments and emerging platforms in social media to ensure the organization maintains an optimal social channel mix;
?Coordinate and collaborate with external parties to ensure social media campaigns are executed in a manner consistent with PR strategy
? All other duties as directed by the SVP of Corporate Affairs.
Required Education and Skills:
Bachelor?s Degree and 5-7 years of experience in the communications field or Master's Degree and relevant experience. MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.

- Excellent project management and organizational skills, including the proven ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously with multiple audiences and against deadline.
- Significant knowledge of corporate communications best practices.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the proven ability to work across different audiences, personalities and experience levels
- Excellent communications and writing skills
- Ability to analyze data and information and make data driven business decisions and/or recommendations.
- Strong technical aptitude characterized by the ability to understand technical concepts, value proposition and benefits and translate them to a variety of audiences.
