The Role

Principal responsibilities include defining policies & procedure that ensure optimal performance for warehouse operations, material transfers (internal & external), pull systems (internal & external), shipping and receiving and distribution systems.for all SBU locations. In addition this position will identify and insure implementation of processes that are synchronized with KB standards for Supply Chain Excellence (SCE). He/she will drive best in class processes to meet SCE KPI's for logistics cost reduction, logistics execution and logistics complaints.

This position supports internal manufacturing processes that rely on material movements and transportation models that optimize on time delivery of supplier material and customer shipments. These activities and processes include, but are not limited to: receiving and storing production materials, replenishment of Kanban areas, integration of OE & AMS warehouses, stock transports, supplier direct shipments, and ultimately shipping the right product and quantities on time to customers. This includes intercompany/intergroup customers. He/she will use problem solving and analysis to improve logistics processes and implement new applications.

Responsibilities

• Continuously improve internal logistic systems, processes and procedures.
• Facilitate team meetings;
• Communicate issues and concerns to all cross functional teams and managers.
• Provide logistics oversight to insure established procedures are followed and best practices are implemented to achieve continuous improvement.
• Work with teams to design and implement policies and procedures that optimize internal logistics costs and activities.
• Monitor and communicate performance metrics to insure opportunities for improvement are met.
• Communicate the requirements of both external and internal customers, and coordinate the fulfillment of these needs with the needs of other teams and groups to support overall company goals.

Requirements

• BS-BA in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.
• Solid knowledge of SAP ERP logistics processes or equivalent in logistics modules of other ERP systems.
• 5 to 7+ experience in domestic and international logistics, Third Party Logistics (3PL) programs, distribution, warehousing/transportation management and WMS implementation.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing change and sustaining gains.
• Ability to work in a team environment with management, material planners, warehouse personnel, traffic & customs personnel, 3PL partners, suppliers & customers.
• MS in Logistics Engineering or equivalent.
• APICS certifications for CSCP, CIRM, CPIM or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of Lean / Six Sigma.
• experience with SAP WM, IM, PP Modules.
• Experienced in Value Stream Mapping.
