ZELTIQ's first commercial product, the CoolSculpting System, is designed to selectively reduce stubborn fat that may not respond to diet or exercise. CoolSculpting is based on the scientific principle that fat cells are more sensitive to cold than the overlying skin and surrounding tissues. It utilizes patented technology of precisely controlled cooling to reduce the temperature of fat cells in the treated area, which is intended to cause fat cell elimination through a natural biological process known as apoptosis. Title: International Marketing Manager
Reports To: Sr. Director, Marketing
Responsible for promotional planning and tactical implementation for ZELTIQ commercial marketing programs in the International markets
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned.):
? Own and drive the development and adaptation of specified US marketing materials, programs and sales tools for the international markets ? both physician and consumer facing
? Act as the main marketing liaison between the international field Sales organization (Direct and Indirect teams) and internal groups to support all international marketing related needs and manage the overall International marketing plan, promotional calendar of events and activities
? Work with the international sales teams to drive global brand adoption and uptake
? Create an annual marketing plan and associated budget for the international markets based on varying market environments and local sales team needs.
? Develop training materials/programs catered to local needs of Direct and Indirect sales team needs.
? Facilitate the translation process by managing the creative agency, translation vendor and sales rep input to ensure that the materials are accurate and will have impact.
? Gathering all critical feedback from key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that promotional materials/programs are optimized based on various market needs.
? Manage the internal medical/legal/regulatory review process for all international promotional materials, as well as catalogue and maintain the library of all international promotional materials
? Coordinate vendor projects for advertising, promotional, public relations and professional programs that deliver brand objectives.
? Work with the Indirect sales team to create and execute tactics and initiatives with Distributors that include a reasonable assessment of ROI
? Assist team and assigned vendors in the continued development of corporate and consumer websites for the International markets
? Collaborate with the tradeshow & events team on the planning and budgeting of marketing communication functions including live events, symposia and trade show programs.
? Manage the distribution of outbound programs and literature, including patient materials, clinical training materials and sales tools.
? Support implementation of pre-launch and launch plans for new and existing product in coordination with the Product Marketing team.
? Provide regular feedback to management regarding project status, as well as other critical programs that affect goal achievement.
? Support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and regulatory requirements.
? Bachelor Degree in business or related field or equivalent required.
? 5-8 years of related experience required with 3-5 years in pharmaceutical, aesthetic or medical device company preferred.
? Strong international marketing skills, with an understanding of the international nuances and local requirements.
? Demonstrated strategic marketing management skills, including the ability to provide input to program planning and execute assigned tactics.
? Able to create an annual marketing plan and associated budget for the international markets based on varying market environments and local sales team needs.
? Excellent track record of success, working with moderate supervision to meet project objectives and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
? Ability to prioritize and manage multiple high priority projects to successful completion with limited supervision.
? Knowledge of international regulatory requirements is preferred.
? Proven track record in managing vendors, including but not limited to advertising, promotional, professional education, and public relations projects.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver presentations to internal and external audiences, including but not limited to sales teams and medical professionals.
? Self-motivated, organized, and self-directed; conscientious approach to work assignments and enjoys operating at a fast pace while staying flexible to shift tasks as needed.
? Up to 25% travel, including international travel with overnight and weekend travel.
? High competency with Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Excel, and graphics packages that support internally developed brochures and presentations.
? Responsible for performing all duties in compliance with FDA?s Quality System Regulation (QSR), ISO13485, the Canadian Medical Device Regulations, and all other international regulatory requirements with which ZELTIQ complies.
