Description
The International Product Manager will be responsible for supporting the international team with a wide range of marketing activities. This position will also be the primary liaison between each product development group and in-country sales personnel. The person needs to have strong self-starting qualities to independently manage coordination of multiple projects to ensure timely completion of operational, product development and marketing tasks. The job requires the individual to be a team player with the ability to function well in a challenging and fast paced environment. Must be enthusiastic, positive, even tempered and have strong skills in areas of dependability, interpersonal relationships, communication, organizational, flexibility and maturity.
Responsibilities
Works with PD teams, International Marketing Director and countries to develop Market Introduction Plans (MIPs) for all international product launches including market overviews, competition, roll-out strategies, pricing and expected revenue.
Along with the International Marketing Director, works with surgeon design and Product Development (PD) teams to facilitate communication and coordination. Occasionally may be required to document meetings with surgeons and provide feedback to PD team.
Provides direct organizations and distributors with timely information related to products currently available and any new product launches or upcoming product updates.
Works with the sales training team to determine training needs and provides input on training programs for international sales reps, as well as communication and coordination for upcoming courses. May occasionally be required to support training courses or directly provide training.
Along with the International (Operations) Director, helps plan and support international VIP visits.
Provides countries with information regarding upcoming set upgrades and works with the International (Operations) Director and PD team to forecast international set upgrades
Represents the company in a professional manner at international exhibitions, congresses and workshops/courses as needed.
Provides every-day product support for international sales reps.
Special projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
5-7 years experience in medical device or related field in Product Development and/or Marketing in a fast paced environment
Bachelors Degree required. MBA preferred. 2-3 additional years of experience in business / project management may suffice in lieu of MBA
Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, E-mail, and Microsoft Project
Well organized, detail oriented, and team player capable of working in a deadline dictated environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to travel up to 30-40 of the time
Preferred Spanish language communication skills, but not a must.
