Hours
This in an unpaid academic internship. The estimated education hours for this position are:
Monday - Friday 7:45am - 6:00 pm
Hours are subject to change based on time of year and population of athletes in-house.
Overview
Our goal is to expose you to different philosophies and ideas and how they are integrated into our methodology and systems of performance physical therapy, athletic training, and performance training. Learn how to evaluate the body in a more 3 dimensional format, utilizing and understanding the Athletes? Performance Upper Quarter and Lower Quarter Functional Examinations and Functional Restoration systems and the link between the upper and lower quarter and the key to improving movement.
As an athletic training intern you will spend time with the Performance Physical Therapy team as well as the performance team. You will learn how to truly bridge the gap between rehabilitation of an injury to return of full performance on the field.
This specific internship is offered in our Arizona location only.
Intern Candidates must be:
Proficient with Anatomy
Computer Literate-Word and Excel
Excellent communications skills
Attention to Detail
Proactive
Fulfilling a curriculum/graduation requirement in athletic training or a dual credential AT/DPT.
Must be certified in First Aid/CPR for the duration of the internship term.
