Job Description
We are currently looking for Nanoparticle Fabrication Interns to play a critical role in nanoparticle fabrication, synthesis, and characterization. We are also seeking Cell/Molecular Biology Interns to assist the Biology team with various tasks and projects. Compensation will be provided based on experience.
Nanoparticle Fabriation Internship:
Work in a hands-on laboratory environment to assist senior scientists with production, manufacturing, and analysis of nanoparticles
Assist in project research and experimental design
Conduct laboratory experiments and analyze nanoparticle products
Test, produce, prototype, and assist with new product development of nanoparticles
Operate and maintain production and laboratory equipment for nanoparticles processing
Other duties as required for maintenance and upkeep of the laboratory environment
Biology Internship:
Assist with design and execution of key experiments for analysis of nanoparticle therapeutic agents (e.g. intracellular localization of drugs by florescent and electron microscopy)
Conduct in vitro and in vivo studies to analyze nanoparticle binding, uptake, internalization, and toxicity
Analyze and interpret data from in vitro and in vivo studies
Present results in team discussions and written technical reports
Other duties as required for maintenance and upkeep of the laboratory environment
Qualifications
Bachelor or Masters degree (received or in progress) in chemistry, biology, molecular biology, bioechemistry, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering or related field
Creative, attention to detail, strong analytical skills
Academic or industry laboratory experience
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team of scientists
