INVENTORY SUPERVISOR New Breed Logistics
JOB DESCRIPTIONSummary of Functions:
This position has overall responsibility for inventory control, reporting functions, and inventory reconciliation processes. Responsibilities also include record retention of all inventory metric reports, documents, and electronic files.Work hours are 7am - 4pm.
Essential Functions:
Effectively communicate all site metrics and inventory reports accurately to the client, site management, and corporate management.
Have a thorough understanding of the site?s warehouse processes and systems to be able to manage any inventory discrepancy in a timely manner and provide an accurate resolution and tracking of such discrepancies.
Assist other warehouse supervisors and hourly personnel with inventory issues in an attempt to process all orders and receipts within time limits.
Supervise departmental employees and enforce New Breed policies and procedures
Adhere to and enforce safe work practices and all safety policies and rules
Identify and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy in regards to receiving, picking, and shipping processes; correspond with warehouse personnel to ensure effective implementation of established procedures.
Experience and/or Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred with two years related experience in warehouse or distribution environment; equivalent experience may substitute for degree
Minimum of five years experience with inventory systems and warehouse processes and strong analytical skills.
Supervisory experience and strong communication skills.
Able to communicate with all levels of an organization and the client
Proficient use of various computer software programs, especially Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience with warehouse management and inventory management software preferred.
Proven ability to multitask, set and manage priorities based on customer requirements
Experience in AS9100 or ISO environment preferred
