Account platforms and retirement solutions for broker/dealers, registered investment advisors,
banks and family offices. As the separate account industry?s leading independent overlay
portfolio manager, Placemark coordinates multiple investment vehicles such as separately
managed accounts, mutual funds and ETFs into a single customized portfolio.

As a key member of a dynamic team of professionals, you will be responsible for a variety of
internal and external client requests ranging from opening new accounts to updating/terminating
existing accounts, processing asset allocation changes, handling inquiries, monitoring
incoming/outgoing asset flows and conducting periodic quality control activities.
You will work with financial consultants and registered investment advisors (RIAs) to answer
day-to-day questions relating to client accounts. This will often require communication with
various internal Placemark individuals/departments as well as Sponsor organizations in order to
resolve client issues in a timely and effective manner. You will conduct new account quality
control by verifying that these accounts are set up in accordance with client paperwork. You will
also perform periodic audits of accounts in collaboration with the Portfolio Management team to
validate that asset allocations confirm to client agreements. Other duties will entail preparing and reviewing daily client and management reports, developing
detailed processes/procedures as needed and serving as a well-informed backup to other
members of the Operations team.
The Operations Specialist plays a key role in servicing our clients. To be successful, you must
be willing to take ownership of assigned client relationships and pro-actively manage any issues
that arise with a strong sense of urgency. You must have well-developed interpersonal skills
and, because of the nature of Placemark?s business, have the flexibility to sometimes ?switch
gears? to assist in meeting critical cut-off times and/or high volume processing spikes.
You must have a strong customer service orientation, be very well organized and detail-oriented,
and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will have 2-4 years? experience in an
Operations-related role, preferably within the financial services/investment management
industry. You will be well-acquainted with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Advent Axys would
be a decided plus.
Academic preparation should include a BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration;
consideration will be given to candidates who possess equivalent work experience.
