IT Analyst III/Senior -BI Integra Telecom
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED DescriptionThe IT Analyst Senior studies the overall business and information needs of the organization, in order to develop solutions for business process, system and related technology problems. Responsible to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, and manage the real needs of the project stakeholders, including Business Partners and customers. Serve as the conduit between the Business Partner community and IT developers through which requirements flow. Manage project/system requirements through full life cycle to completion and maintain ongoing information flow into maintenance mode and production support as needed. Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of system investments.
?Identify, analyze, document, and design functional solutions to address business needs then provide options and recommendations
?Document existing business processes and make process and system-related recommendations based on best practices for changes to improve operational effectiveness and cost savings.
?Perform data collection and analysis to assess and report on process and system performance, data integrity and accuracy.
? Develop and document functional test plans, test scripts, and test cases.
?Work closely with IT developers to ensure technical solutions meet business/functional needs. Participate in peer reviews
?Walkthrough the requirements and work products derived from requirements specifications
?Provide project management / leadership. Develop project plans, and timelines; manage work to meet the dates. Take the lead/assist in prioritization of work, escalation of issues, and development of contingency plans. Facilitate meetings / work sessions. Conduct post project reviews.
?Manage changes to base lined requirements through effective application of change control processes and tools.
? Review installation/configuration guides for vendor packages and determine the appropriate configurations that allow the full package to work together to meet business needs. Explain configuration recommendations to business areas and assist with package implementation.
? Work closely with business areas and IT developers to develop training plans and materials for new and existing systems.
?Create reports and adhoc queries to address data requests, data analysis needs, and provide management information.
RequirementsMin Required Skills:
?Education, training and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Business or related field.
?At least 6 years of exempt level experience with application systems development and associated business processes
?Knowledge of data modeling, Business Intelligence, data warehouse concepts
?IT development methodologies; Change Management,, Change Control and/or compliance methodologies
?User requirements definition and analytical skills.
? Experience extracting data from application databases, using basic query skills, for analysis and reporting
? Research and recommend system configuration alternatives and options
? Design and manage testing strategies.
? Troubleshoot application problems, determine root cause and define/design solution.
? The skills to communicate information, both verbally and in writing, in simple, clear, unambiguous and concise language.
? Program and Project Management experience leading small, medium and large scale information. technology or related projects; experience working with Project Management tools/packages.
? Experience modeling information in graphical forms that augment written documentation.
?Experience in/knowledge of business areas and applications that support those business areas (ex: CRM, Accounting, Billing).
Skills that are a plus:
?Automated testing tools including the ability to write automated test cases.
?Performance monitoring tools.
? Preparing and delivering presentations to department management and senior management.
? Negotiating contracts with software vendors.
?Managing staff, including participating in reviews, promotion recommendations, disciplinary actions.
?Experience assisting with staffing decisions, negotiating rates/terms with contracting/consulting firms.
?Knowledge of telecommunications industry through direct or indirect work experience.
?Experience working with large-scale vendor packages (ex: Oracle EBS, MSS).
?Experience with Change Management and Project Portfolio Management tools/software.
?Experience with IT/business audit processes and requirements.
?Experience with Power Pivot within Excel.
