Learn more about how Airbnb works: https://www.airbnb.com/info/howitworksWe are looking for a skilled Mac expert to assist and support staff at Airbnb's HQ by providing technical support for our Apple laptop and desktop machines, applications and related Technology. You will use problem solving and people skills to assure swift resolutions to technical problems. This person would also keep an inventory of all equipment, order and assist with employee on boarding by handing out laptops and introducing new hires to our technology.
Responsibilities:
Use problem solving skills.
Set up, maintain and troubleshoot ongoing usability of laptop and desktop machines, software and peripheral equipment such as printers.
Ensure machines interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including imaging server, LDAP integration, conferencing systems, printers etc.
Performs weekly inventory cycle, counts accurately and communicates effectively with procurement staff to stock hardware and software inventory accordingly.
Ensure all incidents and requests received are logged in the specified system and progress of all calls is recorded until successful resolution and closure.
Requirements:
2+ years experience working with Mac OS X desktop/laptop machines.
Strong people skills and a knack for problem solving.
Experience trouble shooting hardware issues.
Ability to use customer service skills to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical people.
Time management and inventory skills.
Experience working in a process driven environment.
Ability to lift 30 pounds.
Ability to climb a ladder.
Some knowledge of OS X server tools as well as LDAP concepts and administration.
