The IT Help Desk Associate will be providing support to 2U?s internal employees worldwide. They will be assessing and resolving technical issues and implementing fixes to completion. This individual will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, security, and support of 2U computers, phones, and other peripherals. This position is based in 2U?s New York City office, located in Chelsea. S/he will be supporting our Technology Development team and Marketing team in person, as well as 2U staff around the globe. At the 2U Help Desk, s/he will be responding to users by answering, evaluating, and prioritizing tickets, phone calls, and in-person requests for assistance. They must research and resolve technical problems, applying various complex techniques to identify issues, investigate causes, and recommend solutions. The IT Help Desk Associate will also work on various projects assigned by the IT Help Desk Manager that will increase the productivity and efficiency of the department and the company as a whole.
Required Skills and Experience:
1.) 2-5 years of experience providing ?hands-on? technical assistance for an environment with large amount of user base
2.) Background in customer service and satisfaction, commitment to providing white-glove customer service to all users
3.) Familiarity with a CRM and/or ticketing system (ideally Salesforce.com) to accurately document all incidents
4.) Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, collaborative nature, and hard-working
5.) Impeccable communicative and organizational skills (can multi-task and handle shifting priorities)
6.) Basic understanding of networking and system administration
7.) Developed IT strategies, goals, and procedures relating to the process improvement of a department and entire company
8.) Procurement of IT equipment and software that fits the needs of the organization in a complex and ever-evolving environment
9.) Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter and have great organizational skills
10.) Willingness to assist on ad hoc administrative projects and tasks as requested by the CTO and VP of Technology
11.) Strong organizational skills a must
12.) Impeccable communication skills
Desired Skills and Experience:
1.) Experience with Active Directory and Salesforce.com
2.) Troubleshooting and supporting Google Applications, remote assistance tools
3.) Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
4.) 2+ years of experience troubleshooting Mac OS, Windows 7, and mobile devices
