Overview
nCircle Network Security, the leading vendor of enterprise security software, is seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician to be primarily focused on end-user systems and requests for our Alpharetta and east coast offices. These include the normal helpdesk ad-hoc questions as well as planned system updates to operating systems and hardware. The position would also be responsible for handling emergency cases such as hardware failure.
Primary Responsibilities:
Information Technology helpdesk support for remote offices.
Maintain imaging system for laptop deployments.
Installation, configuration and maintenance of common user operating environments.
Telephone, email and in-person desktop support.
Physical upkeep of data room and storage areas.
Assist in maintaining and conforming to company security policies.
Create and maintain documentation of the infrastructure.
Job Requirements:
B.S. in Computer Science (or related field), or equivalent experience.
2+ years' experience in a helpdesk position.
2+ years Windows support inclusive of Windows 7 or Vista
2+ years Microsoft Office 2010 or Office 2007 support
1+ years' experience with VMWare ESX
Understanding of infrastructure technologies that must include Active Directory.
Thorough knowledge of TCP/IP based networking.
Hands on experience with networking concepts: switching, routing, VPN.
Maintaining and adherence of change control policies.
Tracking of work in ticketing system.
Efficient with computer hardware components and Lenovo laptops.
Ability to work proficiently with little daily guidance.
Ability and working knowledge to properly secure Windows OS.
Experience working in small companies that take an enterprise level approach to IT.
Information security certifications highly desirable
