The IT Infrastructure Lead position will work in collaboration with team members and stakeholders across the organization, ensuring the integration, coordination, timing, and consistency of IT processes. This position is a hands-on technical role with leadership responsibility for recruitment, training, performance and development of IT Infrastructure team members.
Lead the implementation, support and maintenance of Accolade?s IT systems and data center.
Cost effectively manage back office IT systems (core LAN/WAN network, IT infrastructure, applications, telecom, and desktop computers) to support day-to-day business operations.
Manage the IT Infrastructure underlying SaaS platform (primary and disaster recovery), providing 24x7x365 support to ensure maximum continuity of service and rapid recovery in event of failure.
Responsible for IT service delivery, provision of timely and accurate management information and definition of key processes.
Define IT policies regarding operational procedures, operational risks, compliance, capacity planning, change management, etc.
Assist senior management in defining IT strategy, roadmap and projects.
Ensure team compliance with all internal IT policies (Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, etc.)
Ensure all internal IT policies (Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, etc.) are in compliance with external legislation and procedures as well as with business goals and objectives.
Manage IT infrastructure work within budget, scope and timelines while driving for maximum return on investment.
Manage projects including workloads and prioritization of duties to ensure the highest level of network/infrastructure, desktop support and application support.
Management of IT system security and user access to IT systems and applications in line with industry and vendor best practice.
Develop, manage, document and test Disaster Recovery and Backup plans and processes.
Liaise with outside vendors and solution providers to research and provide guidance for the future development of the IT system.
Communicate progress on action items, difficulties and risks as often as necessary to keep management fully informed regarding issues and concerns relating to IT.
Provide Microsoft Windows Server operating system support
Provide network switch and firewall support
Active Directory maintenance and support
Maintain Storage System creating volumes and luns
Support electronic mail, and other corporate systems
Perform routine maintenance and administrative duties.
Perform system upgrades as assigned by management.
Plan and perform appropriate procedures, documentation, inventory assessment, and other procedures related to IT Infrastructure.
Support andor lead IT project initiatives
Implement production releases following established policies and procedures
Conduct software and hardware evaluations, provide technical analysis and implement systems to meet the company?s IT goals.
Configure, administer, manage, and maintain systems monitoring platform(s) for servers and other critical systems
Maximize system availability and performance through and proactive server monitoring and Maintenance.
Monitor and analyze system components and make recommendations regarding system performance and stability
Maintain and monitor system backup environment to ensure regular periodic system state and data backups of servers and other mission-critical data sources.
Work with team to automate management tasks, streamline processes and perform standard administration functions as needed.
Liaise with Hardware, Software, and Support vendors as necessary
Assist in procurement, installation and configuration of servers, network hardware, and peripherals.
Perform and coordinate effective installation and performance of advanced operating systems and software on servers.
Maintain system build procedural and configuration documentation
Technical Support / Troubleshooting
Collaborate with the IT department members, users and vendors to investigate operational, hardware and telecommunications problems.
Collaborate with support analysts to provide support for escalated network and server issues.
Support, monitor, test and troubleshoot hardware, Operating System, and software problems.
Carry out necessary tasks to implement solutions.
Participate in maintaining computer systems security and support corporate Information Security and Compliance efforts as necessary. Perform upgrades as assigned by management.
Bachelor?s degree in Technology or related field
Extensive knowledge in setting up and managing virtual environments using VMWare 5.1
10 years IT experience with management experience leading an IT infrastructure team across multiple locations preferred
Experience working with a team and collaborating across multiple time zones in the US
Experience servicing internal and external customers
10 years of knowledge of Microsoft and networking technologies
Experience with NetApps for virtual storage preferred
Knowledge of SQL Server Database Administration and database optimization a plus
Critical Skills: VMWare/HyperV, Netapp
