Technical Manager is responsible for Managing IT infrastructure for STC?s Customer Universe. The person is part of ITO Business Unit of Symphony Teleca Corporation.
The IT Infrastructure Technical Manager?s role is to plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of STC?s customer IT infrastructure. This includes designing, developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure (Windows/Linux), data communications, and telecommunications systems. This position manages a highly diverse staff that is responsible for providing infrastructure architecture, design and implementation in support of business initiatives.
Manage a team of 15+ engineers spanning multiple technical disciplines
Plan, design, and manage the deployment of highly available IT infrastructure and associated support services, including networks, servers (Linux and Windows), storage, Backup, Data Center, telecommunication, security and systems applications
Manage highly available Microsoft infrastructure including Windows Servers, VMware, Exchange, IIS and SharePoint
Responsible to manage 200+ servers, 5000 + users, Multiple Data Centers and 50+ WAN locations
Proactively perform operational management of the data centers and computing environments
Oversee and prioritize associated day-to-day operational activities, tactical projects and strategic initiatives.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards across the systems and network teams.
Develop and implement IT Business continuity and disaster recovery plan
This is a technical role and person should be expertise in IT infrastructure Technologies.
Facilitate cross-team collaboration across technical disciplines as well as across business units
The Manager provides technical solutions and recommendations for day to day operations.
Engages in and provides support for transition/transformation efforts
Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Cisco Certified Network Professional and ITIL Foundation
Certifications in Windows2008/Microsoft Exchange/EMC Storage, Servers, & VMware
At least 15 years of experience in Information Technology preferably in Infrastructure domain
Excellent communication and team management skills
Strong Technical Knowledge and Hands on Experience in Microsoft Technologies, Network Infrastructure, databases and business applications
Work Experience in IT services Companies and managed large enterprise IT infrastructure and part of global and diversified teams.
