IT Intern Talyst
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Overview:
Responsible for helping to support the IT Department in various areas computer and desk set up, inventory of IT equipment, helpdesk tickets and audits.
Installation and configuration of PC images and basic applications.
Update IT inventory.
Perform regular review of server and security audit logs in accordance with policy.
Develop, monitor and analyze system performance and provide regular reporting.
Assist with daily IT operations, such as troubleshooting, triaging user software & hardware problems and service requests.
Support user moves, adds and changes.
Perform basic administration & maintenance duties for network and system infrastructure.
Assist in documenting solutions and contribution to IT ?How To? guides.
Assist in HIPPA compliance and needs per Hi-Tech legal standards.
Procurement of IT equipment and software through outside vendors.
Perform system backups and recovery.
Support and promote the Talyst values through positive interactions with both internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
Attend to other initiatives and goals as assigned.
1+ years of experience or background in IT (professional or volunteer)
Basic troubleshooting skills and knowledge for both LAN and WAN a plus
Troubleshooting skills including the ability to approach issues from multiple angles and utilize additional resources including technical manuals and specification documentation
Requires the aptitude to learn various software programs and operating systems, as well as a solid understanding and ability to troubleshoot software installations.
Must work well with detailed direction and be able to identify and resolve user issues in a pro-active manner, maintaining a professional demeanor under stressful conditions
Requires good listening skills and solid communication skills including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
Completed or seeking completion of a degree/certificate in technical studies.
