Internal Audit supports management?s commitment to a sound internal control structure, provides reasonable assurance to management that the internal control structure can be relied upon to mitigate the inherent risks, and provides an objective review of the operations of the company?s business units.
Perform the following under the supervision of IT Audit Supervisor and/or Auditor-in-Charge:
? Participate in audits of information systems and technology in all areas of the company. Review and test controls in Information Technology (IT) systems and functions to ensure integrity and security of company information and continuity of operations.
? Identify and assess technology risk within the units under review.
? Prepare working papers that are consistent with generally accepted auditing standards, as well as established departmental standards.
? Receives guidance from and provides feedback to Senior IT Auditors, IT Audit Supervisor and/or Director of Internal Audit.
? Draft recommendations for the correction of unsatisfactory conditions, improvements in operations, and reductions in cost.
? Assist in the execution of special reviews at the request of the IT Audit Supervisor and/or Director of Internal Audit.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
? Bachelor?s degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science or Business (Accounting, Finance, etc.) from an accredited college or university.
? General understanding of concepts related to information systems audit, information security, general IT controls, application controls and technology risks.
? Familiar with standard concepts and practices of internal auditing, particularly the Institute of Internal Auditors? Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association?s Standards for Information Systems Auditing
? Good verbal communicator; competent and comfortable interviewing others at all management and staff levels within EverBank.
? Good analytical writer; convey personal observations of processes, risks and controls.
? Able to follow pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job, but reliance on personal perspective and creativity is also expected for most assignments.
? Proficiency using software applications including query tools, databases, spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software (Microsoft Office, Visio, etc.).
? Able to work comfortably and enthusiastically in a team-oriented environment. Capably work with multiple clients during the year.
? Thorough attention to detail, excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Training and Experience
? 1-3 years of experience in IT internal audit; related experience in the financial services industry a plus.
? Possession of or pursuing audit-specific certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), desirable but not required. The CISA is considered the most relevant and beneficial certification for this position.
? Knowledge of COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and related Technology) framework a plus.
